1050 is a product of pure aluminum plate series, and the chemical composition and mechanical properties are similar as 1060 series. It is basically replaced by 1060 in current applications. The last two Arabic numerals of the 1050 series are 50. According to the international brand naming principle, the aluminum content must reach 99.5% or more to be a qualified product. Because it does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap. It is currently the most commonly used series in conventional industries. Industrial pure aluminum has the characteristics of high plasticity, corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, but low strength. It is not strengthened by heat treatment and has poor machinability. It can accept contact welding and gas welding.

Application

1050 is widely used in daily necessities, lighting appliances, reflectors, decorations, chemical industry containers, heat sinks, signs, electronics, lamps, nameplates, electrical appliances, stamping parts and other products. In some occasions that require high corrosion resistance and formability, but not high requirements for strength, chemical equipment is its typical use.
