Refractory mortar is an auxiliary product of refractory brick construction and furnace wall, mainly including fire clay refractory mortar, high alumina refractory mortar, siliceous refractory mortar,magnesia refractory mortar,etc. The kind of refractory brick you use determines the kind of refractory mortar you should choose.

Product Description

It's base stock is hard chamotte, combined with soft fire clay or chemical bond, mainly used in blast furnace, hot blastfurnace, coking furnace, soaking pit furnace, heat exchange, boiler and furnace seam and repair constructed by fire clay bricks.

Fire clay refractory mortar is of high fire resistance, strong glass erosion resistance, good operational performance, strong bonding property, good water retaining property & workability and without sediment by making into slurry. Its combination with ceramic under high temperature improves all properties further. High packing density and less water consumption make compact structure of brickwork.

Using Method:

Stir well with water while using. The water amount changes according to the consistence. The mud hanging should be full and even while construction.

Fire clay refractory mortar is normally divided into four types according to physical and chemical indexes. It is mainly the auxiliary product for fire clay brick construction, with the refractoriness of 1580~1750℃, water content of ≤6%. The Fe2O3 content in refractory mortar for blast furnace construction shouldn’t be over 2.5%.
