5A02 is known as Al-Mg series rust-proof aluminum alloy. The alloy has low magnesium content, high plasticity, good forming ability and low strength. However, it is stronger than 3A21 alloy. Cold deformation can increase its strength, while plasticity decreases. Besides, 5A02 aluminum alloy has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in marine environments. Also well known as good weldability. The machinability is poor in the annealed state, and the semi-cold work hardening state can improve the machinability.
Applications
5A02 aluminum alloy is suitable for welding structures and containers with high process plasticity requirements and good corrosion resistance, such as fuel tanks, gasoline and lubricating oil pipes, flanges and light-loaded parts, marine, vehicle interior decoration parts, etc. Wire rods aluminum are used as rivets or welding rods.
